KaloriKu Privacy Policy

KaloriKu ("the app", "we") is a food and calorie tracking application developed by ZafZaf Studio. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the KaloriKu app (com.zafzaf.kaloriku).

1. Data We Collect

We only collect the data needed for the app to work properly:

• Account data: the email address and authentication information you register through Firebase Authentication, used to store your data securely in the cloud and to manage your premium subscription status.
• Health profile data: information you enter yourself, such as body weight, height, and daily calorie target. This data is used to calculate your calorie needs.
• Food data: the food history you log, including food photos you take so their nutritional content can be analysed (processed by an AI service).
• Usage data: scan activity and feature usage logs stored on our servers for technical purposes and service improvement.
• Purchase data: your premium subscription status, managed through Google Play Billing. We do not store your payment card details.

2. App Permissions

KaloriKu only requires minimal permissions:

• Internet access (INTERNET) — for data sync and cloud services.
• Network status (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — to detect internet connectivity.

We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, or other personal data on your device.

3. How Your Data Is Used

• Running the app's core features: food logging, calorie counting, and nutritional analysis.
• Syncing your data across devices through your account.
• Managing premium subscriptions and feature access.
• Monitoring technical health of the app and fixing bugs.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. Third-Party Services

KaloriKu uses the following services, each with its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions) — data storage and authentication. Firebase privacy policy
• Google Gemini API — food photo analysis to estimate nutritional content.
• Google Play Store (Play Billing) — processing premium subscription payments.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase Firestore). We enforce security rules so that each user can only access their own data, and all data communication is protected with encryption (HTTPS).

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all related data at any time by contacting us at the email below — deletion is processed within 30 days of the request being received.

7. Children's Privacy

KaloriKu is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be announced by updating this page with the latest revision date at the top.
